La Lupe is a Goddess.

I listen to her whenever I forget who and what I am, respectively. Her lyrics and voice full of conviction recharge and realign me.

La Tirana is a subtle fuck you to every single person committed to misunderstanding your true intentions and character. The lyrics are strong and are sung from a bitter-sweet place of healing, when love no longer exists. She is allowing and welcoming of her past lover’s a-skewed recollection of her and the love she gave.

A few days before the shoot I realized I did not have another model for this look. My friend/photographer casually suggested his partner, Amanda. I could not have been more lucky to have her in this collection.

She beautifully and gracefully encompassed the relentless passion of La Tirana.
